The most obvious word prompt to spark eroticism goes to a relatively chaste couple. Go figure.

fandom: Hellsing

characters: Alucard, Integra

pairings: pretty heavily implied Alutegra (Alucard/Integra mash up I just totally made up the other day)

rating: PG

[FIC: Word prompt #10 intimately]

Integra frowned as it occurred to her what she was doing. She dropped the hand that was holding the book she had been absorbed in and looked down. Alucard was on his knees before her, pressed against her legs, and had nestled his head into her lap. The hand that had not been occupied with the book was stroking his head gently as though he were a loyal, well behaved pet rather than a deadly vampire.

It was late afternoon, still too early for him to be comfortably active. His eyes were closed. Perhaps he was sleeping. Integra would never be clear if he actually ever truly slept. When she gazed at his still, peaceful form, she felt a strange warmth that was in no way a new sensation but still occasionally disturbed her. When had this familiarity become acceptable? It was difficult to say.

She continued to stroke his head. Her hands were ungloved and she couldn’t help but enjoy how strands of his hair slipped silkily through her fingers. Integra knew Walter didn’t approve of this dimension of their relationship, but he’d stopped voicing his concerns long ago. She had mixed feelings about the way he’d relented to her insistence that there was no reason for him to worry. Certainly there was no reason to fear Alucard taking advantage of the situation, rather Integra sometimes worried about her own attachment to Alucard. Surely it wasn’t healthy. He was designed to be a weapon, a tool.

In her most secret heart, he knew the roots of affection and even desire had been planted long ago. Perhaps she should have sent Alucard back to the basement once her leadership had been safely secured. Once the traitors had been dealt with, there hadn’t been much reason to keep him active. Midian activity in England has been at an all time low for years and frankly, the few that had been routed out had been easily dispatched by Alucard. He frequently bemoaned the lack of challenge they posed. For as much as he loved the hunt, the kill was always anticlimactic. Yet it had always felt terribly cruel to treat him so callously as to lock him back up after he’d saved her life.

Walter told her that her father would have done just that, but Integra was not her father.

She sighed softly and closed her eyes. Perhaps the worst part of all this navel gazing was the awareness that she would not have done a single thing differently up to this point. Even if she were given a second chance, she would still be sitting in the manor’s library with Alucard’s head in her lap and her fingers buried in the monster’s hair.
