Sep. 6th, 2009 08:09 pmSo this weekend I learned how to transfer album covers onto my iTunes. Yes, I know it's supposed to retrieve them for me, but it doesn't. Even though it'll retrieve track listings...odd. Maybe it's because I'm using an older version of ITunes and I can't upgrade (OS is too old for most of the software upgrades out there). Anyway, so I've been jacking album cover pics off Amazon and dropping them into the little spaces where it says "drag album artwork here". Awesome. It's the one thing I've missed in the rise of "burned copies" and MP3 downloading.
Well, there's a lot of things I miss. I mean, there's nothing like the excitement of taking a long sought-after CD home, chipping a nail on the cellophane and sticker that keeps the jewel case shut, and then ahhh...the sweet smell of a virginal compact disc and all important first listen.
That and I desperately want an ipod Touch and I can't imagine it being nearly as cool without the album art. The lone musical note just screams:FAIL to me. I don't know why. And speaking of ipods I am so over mine. Now mind you, it's very old (second, possibly first gen nano), but still. It's been freezing a lot on me lately. Actually, it's been acting up since I formatted it for Windows back when I was working on that fucking laptop. I haven't bothered to format it back to Mac since I started using the iMac, mostly because I'm clinging to some music that's from the laptop, transferred before it died and existing now only on the ipod. However...I'm thinking I might have to just bite the damned bullet. Right now I'm doing the only thing I can do and waiting for the battery to die. Thankfully, its little freezing fits aren't permanent, but sometimes it's really annoying depending on how full the battery was before it seized up.
